Job Description

Duties will include but are not limited to:
– Answering phones to assist patients with appointment scheduling, insurance and financial questions, and routine treatment questions.
– Posting of payments, insurance and collections receipts.
– Checking in patients for treatment.
– Discussing office policies and financial arrangements with patients.
– Preparing office communications for patients, parents/guardians and referring dental professionals.
– Monitoring and managing accounts receivable.
– Educate patients on benefits of orthodontic treatment and choices.
– Make payment arrangements through various financing options and explain insurance coverage and benefits.
– Set up patient contracts when treatment is accepted.
– Conduct patient consultations
– Follow-up with patients through telephone calls and letters.
– Calculate fees for treatment based on various fee schedules.
– Contributing to a warm, welcoming environment for both patients and staff.
– Helping with taking x-rays, sterilization, infection control of clinical areas if needed or requested

Required Qualifications :


Work Schedule: Tues., Thurs., Fri. 7:00am - 5:30pm, Wed. is variable (36-40 hours per week)

Years Experience Required: 1-2 years in orthodontic administrative role 

Required Skills:  1) Highly organized, detail-oriented, and good at multi-tasking 2) Can schedule appointments so that it is well planned out for our doctor/staff and follow-up with patients regularly when needed. 3) Knows how to compose professional emails and texts; can courteously communicate with patients in person and over the phone. 4) Computer proficiency. Being familiar with PC/Windows platforms and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus. 5) Confident in discussing financial arrangements with patients
