Job Description: As a dental assistant in our practice, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office and providing exceptional care to our patients. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. While at least one year of dental assisting experience is preferred, we welcome candidates who are motivated to learn and grow in their role.


Responsibilities:



  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including chair-side support and instrument sterilization.

  • Welcome and assist patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including disinfecting treatment areas and sterilizing instruments.

  • Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist.

  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.

  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and updating patient records.


Requirements:



  • Minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to make patients and staff feel welcome.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to dental office regulations.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and office procedures.

  • Certification in dental assisting preferred but not required.

Compensation/Benefits:


Pay Range: $25.00 to $35.00 /hr

Work Schedule:  Practice Hours: Monday 9:00-5:00, Tuesday 8:00-5:00, Wednesday 7:00-4:00, Thursday 7:00-2:00, Friday to Sunday Closed

Required Skills: Responsibility and skills are, but are not limited to, welcoming customers in the dental office. Prepare customers for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort. Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed. Sterilize instruments according to regulations. Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry. Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked. Schedule appointments, Maintain accurate patient records, and assist with payment procedures.
