Dental Hygienist Part-Time

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated dental hygienist to join our practice and contribute to our mission of providing excellent care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of clinical tasks, ensuring patients receive the best treatment possible while maintaining a positive and efficient workflow.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist patients, ensuring they are comfortably situated in the treatment room.


• Review patient health and dental histories, documenting all medications, medical conditions, and any abnormalities.


• Obtain, document, and update patient dental and medical history.


• Set up and break down operatory equipment and instruments, ensuring everything meets regulatory compliance and stays on schedule.


• Deliver a positive patient experience, keeping patients focused on their treatment.


• Ensure all instruments and the operatory are sterile and ready before patient arrival.


• Review patient charts for missing documents/information and follow practice protocols to obtain them.


• Perform dental periodontal therapy and treatment in accordance with practice guidelines.


• Detect oral diseases through screenings, visual inspections, blood pressure checks, and periodontal assessments.


• Use appropriate periodontal treatments for disease and maintenance.


• Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions and postoperative care guidance and schedule recall appointments.


• Thoroughly document all dental hygiene services, including vital signs, medical and dental histories, and periodontal charting.

• Pay Range: $70 per hour

Work Schedule:

• Monday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Patient appointments: 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break)


• Tuesday/Wednesday: 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Patient appointments: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch break)

Years of Experience Required: New Grades Welcome

Required Skills:

• Dependable and skilled in discussing periodontal needs with patients.


• Eaglesoft experience preferred.
