Job Title: Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)

Practice Description: Welcome to our dynamic dental practice! We currently have an opening for a dental hygienist to join our team. Our office environment is positive and fast-paced, where we prioritize excellent patient care and customer service. We utilize modern dental technology, including digital X-rays, intra-oral cameras, and Patterson Eaglesoft software. Our hygienists play a key role in providing comprehensive dental hygiene services and contributing to the overall success of our practice.

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to fill our open position. The schedule for this position is Tuesdays from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Additional Fridays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM can be added for those seeking a full-time schedule.

As a dental hygienist at our practice, you will have your own column of hygiene patients, which includes new patients, 6-month recalls, and 3-month periodontal maintenance appointments. Appointments are scheduled for 1 hour each to ensure thorough care. In addition to providing clinical services, hygienists are responsible for setting up and breaking down their treatment rooms and assisting with sterilization during downtime. While the schedule does not include a one-hour lunch break, we are flexible and can adjust the start time to accommodate a lunch break if desired.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform periodontal maintenance, routine cleanings, and new patient exams.


• Conduct comprehensive dental hygiene assessments and charting.


• Provide patient education on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.


• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure continuity of care.


• Assist with setting up and breaking down treatment rooms.


• Participate in sterilization procedures during downtime.


• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Requirements:

• Valid and active license to practice dental hygiene.


• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of dental hygiene procedures.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation/Benefits:

Pay Range: $65.00 to $70.00

Paid Time Off: Vacation Pay, Holiday Pay, 5 days earned after 12 months, increases each year with a cap of 10 days

Work Schedule:

Tuesdays 10-6 (no scheduled lunch)
Wednesdays 10-4 (no scheduled lunch)
Thursdays 10-6 (no scheduled lunch)

Fridays 8-5 available if want full-time hours.
(We can adjust the start time to earlier and add lunch if that is a requirement/preference from the candidate)

Years Experience Required: New graduates and experienced welcome!

Required Skills: Patient care, customer service, hygiene instructions, ability to recommend periodontal care i.e. gum grafts, take intra-oral photos, digital x-rays including panoramic, periodontal charting. Eaglesoft experience plus.

Other Requirements: CPR, WISHA training, active RDH license
