Dental Hygienist Full-Time

Job Description:  Cleanings: Remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth.
X-rays: Take dental X-rays to assist dentists in examining the teeth, roots, and surrounding structures.
Screening: Screen patients for tooth decay, gum disease, and other oral health issues.
Treatment plans: Create treatment plans for patients and document their care.
Education: Teach patients to brush and floss properly and provide additional oral hygiene instruction.
Fluoride and sealants: Apply fluoride and sealants to help protect teeth.
Scaling and root planing: Remove plaque and tartar from beneath the gums.
Probing: Perform periodontal probing to assess gum health.
Anesthesia: Administer anesthesia as needed for restorative or other procedures and treatments.

Compensation/Benefits:

Pay Range: $65-$70

401K:  Yes with a 3% match.

How do you calculate accrued vacation time?: VACATION 1 week-32 hours after 1 year of employment/ 2 weeks 64 hours after 2 years of employment/ 3 weeks after 5 years of employment/ PAID SICK LEAVE 2 hours every payroll

Number of Dentists: 1

Number of Registered Dental Hygienists: 3

Number of Assistants: 3

Number of Front Office Staff: 4

Number of Sterilization Techs: 1

Requirements:                                                                 

Work Schedule: Office is open Mondays-Fridays hours 7:30-4:00.  This position can be for 4 or 5 days a week.  Arrive no later than 7:30 am to review and prepare for the patients. 1st patient at 8:00 am and last patient at 2:30 pm. Departure time is usually 4:00 pm depending on how many charts notes need to be completed. Lunch time is from 12:00-12:30.

Years Experience Required: New graduates and experienced welcome to apply.

Required Skills: Good interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists, and coworkers.
Ability to work independently.
Organizational skills: prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently.
Be an active participant in team meetings.

Other Requirements:  Dental Hygiene License in the state of WA
