Dental Hygienist F/T and P/T

Job Description:  We are seeking an energetic RDH with a “get it done” attitude, embraces teamwork, and the ability to convey genuine concern for patient care and education. 

General Duties include the following:
Removing plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth
Applying sealants and fluoride varnishes
Taking X-rays
Assessing oral health and reporting findings to dentists
Documenting patient care and treatment plans
Educating patients and parents on oral health and hygiene
Measuring periodontal pockets and recording findings
Evaluating periodontal status
Performing root planing and curettage
Administering local anesthesia and nitrous oxide
Preparing the dental hygiene operatory for patient care
Scheduling and continuing care appointments and prioritizing services
Compensation/Benefits:

Pay Range: $60-$70

401K:  Yes with a 3% match.

Medical: Yes, Regence which includes Vision.

How do you calculate accrued vacation time?: VACATION 1 week-32 hours after 1 year of employment/ 2 weeks 64 hours after 2 years of employment/ 3 weeks after 5 years of employment/ PAID SICK LEAVE 2 hours every payroll

Number of Dentists: 1

Number of Registered Dental Hygienists: 3

Number of Assistants: 3

Number of Front Office Staff: 4

Number of Sterilization Techs: 1

Requirements:                                                                 

Work Schedule: Tuesday-Fridays hours 7:30-4:00. Open to full-time and/or part-time hires.  Arrive no later than 7:30 am to review and prepare for the patients. Departure time is usually 4:00 pm depending on how many charts notes need to be completed. 1st patient at 8:00 am and last patient at 2:30 pm. 8 am to 3:30 pm 30 min lunch 

Years Experience Required: New graduates and experienced welcome to apply.

Required Skills: We are seeking an energetic RDH with a “get it done” attitude, embraces teamwork, and the ability to convey genuine concern for patient care and education. Be able to relay and explain information to a team member and patient in a way they understand. Effective solution-providing communication that is efficient and effective, to allow collaboration on any given task or issue.

Other Requirements:  Dental Hygiene License in the state of WA
