Practice Description:  We are a small, private dental practice serving the Redmond area for 40 years. Employees enjoy a friendly cooperative team environment. Candidates are eligible for benefits including healthcare, dental care, 401(K), and PTO. Our typical hours are Tuesdays from 7:45-5:15 and Wednesdays through Fridays from 6:45-4:15.
We plan to merge our practice with another clinic around Mar/Apr, which will entail relocating our office. Our new location will offer larger operatories, newer equipment, cloud-based EMR, and the option for our hygienist to add a 5th workday as desired (not to exceed 40 hours a week). 


Job DescriptionThe dental assistant position is essential to any dental practice. This position is exciting, demanding, detail-oriented, and fast-paced. We hope always to continue to develop our respective skill sets and progress toward mastery in all areas of the dental field. Some of the primary dental assisting duties include:
ensuring proper teardown, sanitization, and setup of operatories before and after procedures,
administering pre-op and post-op instructions and patient education,
checking for health history and clinical records updates (e.g., current x-ray on file),
chart notes,
alginate impressions,
pedo prophies,
fabricating temporaries, 


and while chairside, aiding the dentist in complying with clinical requirements for HIPPA/WISHA, insurance claims, and patient requests (e.g., latex sensitivity, N2O2 administration, etc.).
Additional duties include lab work, stocking of clinical supplies, sterilization, laundering labcoats and patient towels, maintaining accurate communication with laboratories and clinical vendors as needed, feeding the fish daily, taking out the trash as needed, maintaining tidy lab and sterilization centers, routine equipment maintenance, and supporting the administrative team as the clinical schedule permits (e.g., answering phones, scheduling, etc.).


Compensation/Benefits:


Pay Range: $27.00 to $38.00


Bonus: Yes, a one-time signing bonus after successful completion of the probationary period, $1000


401K: Yes, 4%.

Paid Time Off: Vacation Pay, Holiday Pay, 1 hour per 40 for PTO accrual for the first year of employment, additional benefits added with seniority. Whenever possible, we make our best effort to take our vacations simultaneously to minimize the impact to the team during regular working days. PTO is accrued 1 hour per 40 worked, or one standard week accrued (34 hours) after your first year of employment, whichever is greater, with no annual roll-overs. Your annual allotted additional paid vacation time increases based on your tenure in our office. Total PTO & vacation days are allotted as follows: one week (4 days) of PTO after one year of full-time employment, 2 weeks after two years, 3 weeks after five years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 15, 6 after 20.

Work Schedule: Tuesday 7:45-5:15, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 6:45-4:15 Morning huddle & opening duties for first 15 minutes. 1-hour lunch daily. End of the day, 15 minutes were allotted to tear down & clean up. One column of patients - almost no overlapped appointments. Staff meetings are held weekly Thursday afternoons.
